First Transparent Computer Screens

One step closer to Avatar.
Get ready for transparent laptop screens because it's on its way. It uses an OLED screen that allows 40% translucency. And if for nostalgic reasons you want your screens to look like how it was back in the good old days of 2010 then just set a wallpaper and you won't be able to see through it. How cool is that?
The resolution is less than a 1000 wide, and less than 600 tall on this 14 incher. It's pixely, but let's not quibble.
It's being developed now but in the meantime here is a simple trick you can do to mimic a transparent screen. Look at this gallery for some inspiration. It's pretty nifty.
